This beautifully illustrated book is a collaborative homage from many of the biggest names in interior design to the art of interior illustration through the life and work of Marianne Topham, who died in 2023.
A Painter’s Perspective contains over 200 examples of Marianne’s extraordinary professional and private artworks, along with insightful comment from many of the well-known interior designers and architects with whom she collaborated and revealing text from the interiors journalist and writer, Giles Kime.
Marianne’s artistic career spanned over 50 years. She was a true master at bringing spaces to life that at the time existed only in the imagination of the designer or architect with whom she was working. Her remarkable skill meant that she was able to deliver an invaluable, compelling and sensitive insight into how it would actually feel to be in a room that was still being planned and designed.
Marianne was held in incredibly high esteem by all those that she worked with, and she is much missed.
Commissioned by Todhunter Earle Interiors, Nina Campbell, Rita Konig and Tim Gosling, A Painter’s Perspective is a fitting tribute to a true creative and will be an inspiration to anyone with an interest in interiors, art or design.
