This very contemporary villa overlooking the Caspian Sea is a collaboration with Istanbul based architect Hassan Calislar of Erginoglu & Calislar and Studio Indigo. Built on a huge scale the project comprises eight separate buildings including a guest house, sports pavilion & pool house. The project took over four years to complete. The interior spaces are large and airy with floor to ceiling windows and marmarino plaster finishes to the walls. Etienne Moyat (winner PAD 2018) made the vast screens dividing the entrance hall and main reception area in burnt and chain-saw carved timber, as well as door and joinery panels for other areas of the house. Important pieces of local contemporary art are set against woven leather panels and corten anodized copper. The furniture was made to commission by the likes of Christian Liagre, Valentin Loellmann, Gosling for Todhunter Earle, Gallerie Fumi, and Francis Sultana.
